I saw them perform this on Conan. This is better because of the video, but Muse doesn't seem to hit yet my pleasure or angst points as much as The Walkmen's We Can't Be Beat did here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwo8F6H-AxE . We Can't and Madness feels to be in the same "wavelength", with its repetitive melody building up towards the anthemic end that tempts me to use the word crescendo without dictionary.com-izing the term.
Madness is more on the pop side, so it kind of grows old the more you listen to it. Listening to We Can't Be Beat brings back memories of something I can't fully recall, it's just there at the back of my head, maybe a childhood dream or promise or something.
